Independence is a necessity in my house

One thing that has been certain from the get go - I need my kids to be as independent as possible, as soon as possible. 

My husband works overseas, and is gone for a good 6 months a year. I was home with a toddler, a second one on the way and we were blessed with a - let's call it - unenthusiastic eater. She would find any reason under the sun to not continue eating or to not feed herself. This was not picky eating, she was just, not interested? She would rather starve herself to play with Elsa for 10 more minutes and it was not getting any better. 

Yoghurt was always a safe food and an easy snack, and one day she cried out that it was "yucky". I will admit, I did 100% think it was another tactic, so I dramatically went to taste it to prove that it was not, and spat it out. It was gross. It tasted like soap and a whole mix of leftover odours, and I realised that the silicone bowl was changing the taste of everything! 

I then got her the plastic plates and bowls, and she went straight to complaining how it moved around too much for her to eat, and I needed to feed her. Cue baby brother being born and in my first few months I realised that feeding a toddler, feeding myself and feeding a baby was just a disaster, I needed a solution.

Some time went by and with the help of ChatGPT I figured out what I was looking for, and how to find it. I bascially built Junary with the help of AI and I ordered my first samples. We loved it. The bowls stayed solid even without suction, as the silicone helped keep it in one place. The weight was brilliant as the heavier bowl also meant that the kids could learn to scoop without feeling frustrated. The silicone sleeve also prevented any dents or dings when the items fell. The stainless steel cutlery was a breath of fresh air as the kids could scoop and pierce the food properly. My daughter was snookered, she had run out of excuses and, even though she has her days, I realised that I had set her up for feeding success by using the right tools. 

My son started his solids journey only with Junary products. He was using the cutlery at 8 months old, and was scooping and self-feeding so beautifully by the age of 1 that till this day, he doesn't want us to feed him. I had also set him up for success right from the start. 

Each piece in the range has a personal story attached to it. The first open cup was a no-brainer as my kids love a daily babycino. The straw cup with lid is for my son who simply can't resist tipping the contents on to the floor. The lunchbox was for me to eat their school leftovers and have the apples still taste like apple.
